DGCA Makes A Major Move to Develop eGCA Platform to Improve Civil Aviation

DGCA has taken a major move to develop the eGCA platform for reporting incidents related to aviation. This move is aimed at speeding up the processing and submission of reports. This move will strengthen aviation safety. Civil Aviation Minister Naidu introduced this digital platform in the Rajya Sabha on 20th July and said this digital platform will facilitate the electronic processing and submission of compulsory occurrence reports to improve incident reporting.
 
Civil Aviation Minister Highlighted Safety Oversight Framework
 
Civil Aviation Minister Naidu said that DGCA monitors Civil Aviation requirements covering all airport operators and aircraft. This oversight process includes inspections of ramps, special audits and night surveillance. Civil Aviation Minister of State Mohol said that there are various factors that decide the price of air tickets, like seasonal fluctuations and aircraft capacity and seat occupancy. Mohol also said that the government refrains from maintaining airfares and imposing temporary fare caps during Maha Kumbh.
