Jharkhand high court dismissed the petition regarding appointment of Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioner

The high court heard the petition in interest litigation regarding the appointment of the chief information Commissioner, information commissioner, and lokayukta. The court said that the Lokayukta appointment has already been made and, after hearing the government's position, dismissed the PIL. Also, the appointment of chief information comissioner and information comissioner to the state information  comission is pending in the honorable Supreme court.  The court said that there is no justification for hearing the two PIL in this matter. This case was heard in the High court chief Justice Shankar and Ms Sonak. There are various posts vacant from 5 years and are not filled yet and they should be filled. Government said that some of the posts like State Information Comission, Human Rights Comission and Chier Information Comissioner is already filled.
