Artificial intelligence will assist doctors, especially haematologists, to predict disease progression and plan treatment based on blood disorders. A conference took place at King George's Medical University for final-year clinical haematology professionals from medical institutions across India.
The training program for 2 days focused on predictive models and their use in patient management and machine learning algorithms. According to professional AI experts, AI will assist doctors in identifying patterns and support proper treatment according to the associated risk. Prof Soniya Nityananda said that AI will play a vital role in modern medicine. Doctors should focus on patient care using AI technology, and the programme covered patient counselling and medical ethics. Senior professors also highlighted that professionals should maintain accurate clinical records.
The participants were sensitised to patient data and ethical problems related to AI, including AI-generated predictions against clinical findings. Combining AI tools with ethical decision-making and clinical training will be an important factor in specialized blood disorder care.
