There is big news on the GST front: revenue collections in August have increased to 2 lakh crore. It has increased by 14.8 percent compared to last year. GST collections have increased to Rs 1.37 lakh crore from domestic transactions, and import revenue has increased to Rs 62,604 crore. This is the third consecutive increase in GST collections. GST collections increased to 13.9 percent in June and 15 percent in July. The State collection of GST was Rs 46,316 crore while the central collection was Rs 38,413 crore. This is an 8.3 percent increase year-on-year, and the total GST collection has increased by 11 percent from April to August.
